Dedicated to the preservation of Taiwan local culture, the Shung Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines is the first private museum in Taiwan to focus on the collection of Taiwan aboriginal artifacts. Plans for construction began in 1985 and by 1994 the museum was officially opened to the public. Artifacts donated by Lin Chingfu form the core of the museum collection. However, to this day the museum continues to collect related artifacts, conduct field investigation and research, with the result that the collection has expanded to nearly 1,000 objects.本著關懷台灣本土文化之情，為具體實現「取諸社會，還諸社會」之心意，1985年籌建，1994年開幕，為國內第一座以原住民為主題的私立博物館。
