Does anyone know where a good shoe shop would measure the kids feet both size and width? It seems crazy going back to the UK for school shoes

Sharon, I know we had a whole topic on this a few years ago and there are shoe stores that measure feet, though not many. Unfortunately, I think it was in a forum that was deleted or purged when Parent Pages became Taiwanease/Taiwaneasia.

Try the children's floor of the department stores (Takashimaya, Sogo, Mitsukoshi) or stop in at one of the Be U stores (handmade leather shoes for children and women, beautiful but a little pricey for growing feet). I splurged on a pair for one of my girls there and I felt they took great care in measuring her feet.

I have a hard time finding pretty shoes for my girls (sneakers are easy though) so I am considering order we like from Next Direct I've never ordered shoes online so I'm going to take a chance on measuring their feet using their sizing guide.

Thanks for your ideas. I just wish they had a kids clarks shoe shop like in the UK

We always get our shoes from here as kids as they are specifically measured to your feet.

Next is a great store I shop there often when in the Uk but the width is also important for the feet.

Maybe I am just being too British

I may also just buy am foot measure myself and do it that way.

I bought kids school shoes in Singapore at Clarks and Rockport after seeing this post.

Since arriving last week I have seen a few while wandering around exploring.
Camper on Zhongshan Nth Rd (on sale - usually very expensive in Singapore) had a few of various sizes and good quality. Also noticed Rockport yesterday. Glad to find these possibilities as I don't really want to go back just for school shoes

Good to know you can buy in Singapore. I actually went back to the UK and got shoes for the kids. I also got a clarks shoe measure for the future :)

Me again. I can't help myself
Walking along Shidong Rd today I saw a"Rockport" shop.
Went in and she had some Clarks, Hush Puppies, Timberlands and a couple of other brands as well as Rockport.
There were several school shoe possibilities there. Sizes could be hit and miss.
