That's very sad. He was a giant in the (classical) music world. Point of interest - his son, Martin Fischer-Dieskau was the conductor of the Taipei Symphony Orchestra a few years ago.

Johnny Tapia. Sad, but not much of a surprise. What did surprise me was the guy was still hauling himself into the ring as recently as last June.

Doug Dillard, 75, of the bluegrass band, The Dillards, and another forerunner of Country/Rock. Said to have influenced Steve Martin.
