Future Studies Program at Tamkang U in Danshui (淡江大學未來學研究所)

I was extremely excited recently to learn that Tamkang University by Danshui offers a Masters & PhD program in Future Studies, and that their program is one of the top ranked Future Studies programs in the world. Has anyone out there heard of this program before, or does anyone know about it, or know anyone who has been through it before?

I'm curious what the tuition is like, and also whether or not one might be able to complete the program on a Taiwan Scholarship...

Just got back a giant bi-lingual pamphlet of info regarding tuition, courses, etc. from TKU. Wanted to post the link here in case any futurists are out there and feeling curious.

It is indeed a curious topic. I've never been a fan of tech futurists, but I've read some books by environmental futurists and found them quite enlightening. Is this something you are seriously considering?

You don't like nutritional supplements & nanorobots? That's a little whack, Beaker. ;)

I have a lot more learning to do on the program, am meeting with them tomorrow to talk and see what's up. Probably not for the coming year, but depending on my impressions may be something for the year after. We shall see. Anyway - it would be cool to have drinks with futurists in Danshui.
