International Flight with a Toddler and Cow's MilkI have flown internationally a few times now with my son who is now 18 months old. Next month we will be flying back to Boston on a 16 hour long flight from Taipei. On our prior travels, he was exclusively breastfed. Now that he is exclusively drinking whole cow's milk, I'd like to know what other parents do about milk when they are flying. Do airlines provide cow's milk on board? I've heard that you can buy the small boxes of UHT milk, but how many boxes would you be allowed to bring on board the plane? From your personal experience, which brands of UHT milk are good? Do they have UHT whole milk?
Re: International Flight with a Toddler and Cow's MilkI remember on one of our many flights, the airliner had cow milk and offered it - kid didn't like it though.
How about calling your airline and ask about your request, then they might also be able to tell you what brand it is and you can check to hear, if you are allowed to bring those little boxes for your kid. I believe babyfoods are not limited, so you should be able to bring how many you need. Just be aware, in some airports security posts you MIGHT be asked to open it and taste it - so have your bottle at easy access I also think you should be in good luck with the NAN brand, I've seen them in those small boxes, but can't recall where exactly. Sorry about that. Have a safe and nice flight! Tine
Re: International Flight with a Toddler and Cow's MilkI flew back to SFO w my daughter(16 months at the time), they offered whole milk to her and she had no problems with it!
