questions:
When do we start losong hair after birth?
How long does hair loss continue for?

I've tried searching online for info, but have come up with nothing.

I started losing hair both times at 4-5 months after birth. I think it lasts a good 3 months. I had long long hair, I could sit on it and the hair loss was leaving carpets around the house but when I saw my baby's neck and fingers had hair around them, is when I cut it off .......military crew cut and all. Best thing that ever happened!!!

I started losing hair basically right after birth and it lasted for about at least 5 months. I had very long hair so it was everywhere as well. Maybe because it was long that it seemed like a lot of loss. My baby's now 10 months old and I've got some short hair growing out at the edge, so it looks kinda funny. But, hopefully I'll be able to re-gain the same amount of hair as before birth. Hope this helps.

I heard from other experienced mothers that it is good to keep taking the Prenatal vitamins after the delivery as long as you can and some additional calcium pills. I am doing that and my hair loss is not that significant.
I am not sure if it really helps. Probably it is also up to the genetics.

Mine fell out for about a month or two when baby was about four months. I started taking the pre-natal vitamins again and it seemed to stop.

my baby is 5 months and I've continued to take my pregnancy vits and I have been experiencing massive hair loss for the past month or so...

hope it eases up soon as it's really quite frightening so see the clumps of it in the shower!

i've been wondering what I'd look like with a shaved head...it's just so damn hot these days I've been considering shaving it all off, much like what i did to my son!

Well, I have 6 kids and after all the shit they put me through it's no issue at all since I am bald as a billyard ball. Try 6 kids and you will lose your hair too!
