Hi,
My MIL is coming to Taipei tomorrow, and we were thinking of making a little weekend getaway to Taichung and/or Kaohsiung. We don't have a car, so we would be traveling by train. Any suggestions on where to stay and what to see? Do hotels usually have baby cots/beds available? It won't really be a vacation for us if we have to squeeze 2 kicking one-year-olds in the same bed with us ...
Any suggestions will be appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Hanna

Hanna,
Have you considered Tainan? We went there over Chinese New Year and there is so much to see there in the way of cultural and historical sites. It's also quite pretty.
We took the high speed rail, it was really nice to get there in a couple of hours. The station is a bt out of the city so the ride to the city is like 30 minutes.
