Donating Organs

Postby jimipresley » Sun Jul 15, 2012 19:32

I've looked, but can't seem to find a thread about this. How does one go about donating organs (upon one's demise, of course) in Taiwan? I'd really hate to see my liver go to waste.

I think this might be a place to start. It's the Taiwan Organ Registry and Sharing Center. They have a link to contact them and this would probably not be the first time they have had that question.

I realize the site seems to be more about live donors but ...

If Dr. Frankenstein sent Igor to the organ bank to steal a liver, jimipresley's is the one he would take.

If any new arrival needs assistance in Taipei, I can provide it in exchange for Star Trek or Supernatural (the TV series) stuff or other sci-fi materials. Let me know what help you need by PM, along with what you have to offer in return. And yes, I am serious.

Jimi, Your liver might be good for foie gras.

People who need tranplants actually need an organ better than the one they started with. My :twocents:

I doubt they'll take mine because I'm British (BSE blah blah). I carry a UK donor card but I guess that's not much use over here.
